O'TOOLE'S HERB FARM NEWS
from 'B'
James (Jim) William O’Toole Sr. died
in the sweetness of his home on December 16th 2007, after fighting a
lightning fast battle with pancreatic cancer. He dealt with his
illness and death in the same brave manner as his life, with grace
and dignity.
Jim, also known as Toolie, was charming,
engaging, witty and a friend to all he met. He had a great zest for
life, a huge capacity for love and a complete devotion to his
family, friends and critters. He had a passion for travel, a love of
music, good food and wine. His life was full of love and
adventure. He had a magical partnership with his beloved wife ‘B’
that culminated in the creation of O’Toole’s Herb Farm. This past
spring, Toolie awoke one morning with a
profound thought: “All of our tomorrows are today”.
At Jim’s Celebration of Life in the
garden, his dear friend Tim Sanders, reflected “Jim O’Toole was like
a virus---a good virus. Everyone that was touched by him caught it;
they caught that Toolie Bug. Thankfully
there is no cure for this bug and the lingering effects will be with
us forever.”
The out-pouring of love and goodwill
has been overwhelming. Our family thanks you all for the kind
gestures of sympathy through calls, cards, visits, food, flowers and
memorials.
Plaisir
d’amour (The Joys of Love)
The joys of love are but a moment long,
The pain of love endures the whole life long.
Your eyes kissed mine, I saw the love in them shine,
You brought me heaven right then when your eyes kissed mine.
My love loves me, and all the wonders I see,
A rainbow shines in my window, my love loves me.
And now he’s gone, like a dream that fades into dawn,
His words stay
locked in my heart-strings,
My love loves me.
“Plaisir
d’Amour” is a classical French love
song.
